About the event
What if grey isn't the absence of color?
What if, inside every grey, there is a hidden world of violet, blue, green, rose, ochre and earth?
In this four-hour color exploration, we will look at grey not as a neutral endpoint, but as a beginning.
We’ll explore how colored greys can become the foundation for botanical painting through colored grisailles—underpinnings that establish the atmosphere and story of a flower before the final layers of color arrive.
A yellow flower might begin with a violet-grey.
A red flower might begin with a green-grey.
